Our Story
Alister is originally from England and moved to Canada in 2006. He started running at 28 years old, instantly falling in love with trail running thanks to the high speed thrills of downhill running. It was the start of a transformation, he lost 30 lbs, quit smoking and cut back on alcohol to focus on running. His race results earned him a place on the Canadian Salomon running team where he spent 10 years as an elite runner, on both road and trail.
Talia started running in 2020 and it quickly became a central part of her life, with many aspects of running resonating with her; from exploring trails and new cities to the sensation of runnning and the process of training and improving. This lead Talia to study and complete her UESCA sport nutrition certification and run coaching certification. She is now currently studying her ultra running coach certification.
Talia and Alister met by chance online, discussing PUBMED articles on sport nutrition. From there a bond quickly developped, as they found a shared passion for running, cooking and travel. Their very different personal experiences of coaching left them thinking about the real value of a coach; not just conjuring a plan and taking a fee, but working closely with runners to keep them on the best track towards their goals and feeling positive about a sport that can all too often feel overwhelming.
